Metro Motorcar Club’s Summer Show Combines Horsepower with Heart
There’s something about the mix of revving engines, shimmering paint, and the buzz of conversation that makes a summer car show unforgettable. But this past Saturday, Metro Motorcar Club turned up the temperature—not just with the heat and horsepower, but with the heart.
Hosted at Pontoon Brewing in Sandy Springs, GA, our event titled “Hot Weather, Cool Cars, and Cold Beer” lived up to its name in every way. Under the Georgia sun, enthusiasts gathered not just to show off their rides, but to show up for a good cause.
Doing Good in the Neighborhood
At the core of every Metro Motorcar Club event is our motto: Doing Good in the Neighborhood. This wasn’t just a car show—it was a community outreach initiative. And thanks to everyone who attended, we filled bins and the back of my car with school supplies for local students in need. Notebooks, backpacks, pencils, markers—you name it, it showed up.
It was an incredible display of generosity, and one that made me prouder than ever to be part of this club. Everyone came ready to share—whether it was their time, their ride, or their compassion. That’s what sets Metro Motorcar Club apart.
A Lineup Worth the Heat
Despite the sweltering summer temps, car lovers rolled in early and stuck around long. From exotic supercars to timeless classics, we had a bit of everything:
Ferraris and Lamborghinis that turned heads before their engines even started
A sleek lineup of Porsches, from vintage 911s to the latest GT models
Corvettes and Mustangs bringing the American muscle heat
Hot rods, British beauties, and restored classics with stories as rich as their finishes
Plus some wild cards and rare finds that reminded us all why we love car culture
Whether you came to geek out over Italian design, admire the craftsmanship of a hand-built resto-mod, or simply enjoy the company, the show delivered.
The Vibe? Chill. The Beer? Cold.
Massive thanks to Sean O’Keefe, LC, and the entire team at Pontoon Brewing. They didn’t just lend us their parking lot—they showed us true hospitality. From cold brews to cool vibes, it was the perfect venue for the day.
The team made it easy for us to enjoy the cars and the crowd while cooling off with a wide selection of craft beers inside. There’s something about sipping a cold IPA with the hood up on a ’65 fastback that just feels right.
The guys in the club were unanimous: this is a spot we’ll be coming back to. So yes—we’re already planning to make this a quarterly tradition. Why not? When the recipe works, double down.
Shoutouts to the People Who Made It Happen
A big Metro Motorcar thank-you to all the folks and partners who helped make this event a success:
Ferrari and Maserati of Atlanta – for their support and continued presence in our events
The Ferrari Club of America – Georgia Chapter – always showing up in style
Porsche Atlanta Perimeter – a staple in our car community
Ghost Pizza – because nothing pairs with cold beer and hot cars like great pizza
And of course, every car enthusiast, family, and friend who showed up to support the cause
You brought more than just your cars—you brought your energy, generosity, and spirit.
Why It Matters
We love cool cars, but the real engine behind Metro Motorcar Club is the people. We use events like these to bring awareness, collect donations, and uplift the neighborhoods that support us. School supply drives might seem simple, but for many families, they’re a lifeline.
Giving back doesn’t have to be complicated—it just takes showing up. And when the community comes together like this, the impact goes further than any one of us could drive alone.
Looking Ahead
This was more than a one-off. With the energy we felt, the turnout we saw, and the support we received, we’re excited to start making these events a regular thing. Quarterly shows at Pontoon Brewing? Hell yeah—we’re already on it.
We’re also looking at ways to grow the impact of each event. More charitable tie-ins, more opportunities to connect with local businesses, and of course—more horsepower.
If you missed this one, don’t worry. There’s always another around the bend. And if you were there? Thanks for being part of something bigger than a car show.
