Highlands Motoring Festival Day 2.

Day 2 (Saturday, June 14) – Enzo’s Legacy on Display in Highlands

Metro Motorcar Club on Day 2 of the Highlands Motoring Festival was pure magic for Ferrari lovers and automotive purists alike. This year’s featured marque was Ferrari, with a spotlight on Enzo-era models, offering a rare opportunity to see some of Maranello’s most iconic machines in one place. Under sunny skies, the park transformed into an open-air museum of Italian horsepower.

The curated Enzo Ferrari collection included:

    • Ferrari 500 Superfast (1965, S/N 7817) – An elegant, V12-powered grand tourer with serious presence and performance.

    • Ferrari 166 MM – A true Enzo original, this early racer helped put Ferrari on the global map in the late 1940s.

    • Ferrari 250 GTs – The backbone of Enzo’s road car legacy, combining race-winning DNA with road-going refinement.

    • Other notable Enzo-era gems included various BerlinettasLussos, and early Testa Rossas.

Beyond the Ferraris, the Highlands Motoring Festival showcased coach-built Alfa Romeos, Lamborghinis, and Porsches—each with a story to tell and a lineage that nods back to the golden age of motorsport, a time Enzo Ferrari helped define.

Day 3 (Sunday, June 15) – From Highlands High Octane Car Show

After the high-octane elegance of Day 2, Sunday in Highlands had a more laid-back vibe. The High Octane car showwelcomed everything from late-model sports cars to vintage cruisers in a no-pressure, all-passion setting. It was a relaxed conclusion to the Highlands weekend, perfect for grabbing coffee, strolling the green, and chatting with fellow car fans.

But we weren’t done yet…Here is our stop at Miles Through Time

On the way home from Highlands, we made a spontaneous detour to Clarksville, GA to visit the Miles Through Time Car Museum—and it was worth every mile. The museum houses an eclectic collection ranging from fully restored classics to oddball rarities, all housed in a nostalgia-soaked warehouse that feels like a living scrapbook of American and international car culture.

At Miles Through Time, we saw:

    • Restored Studebakers and ’60s Mustangs
    • Euro oddities and custom builds
    • Automotive artifacts, tools, signage, and more

It was the perfect postscript to a weekend that started with Enzo Ferrari’s finest machines in Highlands and ended with the everyday heroes of the road at Miles Through Time.

Conclusion

Whether you’re drawn to the pedigree of Enzo-era Ferraris or the humble history preserved at Miles Through Time, the Highlands Motoring Festival proved there’s something for every type of car enthusiast. From concours-level Italian legends to Clarksville’s hidden gems, this weekend was a true journey through automotive time—one mile and one memory at a time.
